The Springs Wedding Chapels
New Construction - Multiple Projects
Texas & Oklahoma | 2022 - 2023
Client: The Springs Weddings & Events
We are very fortunate as a firm to have many repeat clients across all project categories. One of our design team’s earliest examples of this was our long and fruitful partnership with the leadership team at The Springs, a major wedding and events venue company that now has 18 locations across Texas and Oklahoma. While our many projects with these clients ranged from industrial catering kitchens to dog spas, the majority of our partnership focused around wedding chapels.
Three of these chapel projects are highlighted here. With The Springs’ venues using a range of styles to cater to the specific needs of their clients, our design team worked closely with these clients to balance elegant and breathtaking spaces with affordability and ease of construction / maintenance.
The three chapels here all follow similar guidelines and priorities, but vary considerably in style and execution. The Chapel at Waxahachie pulls from historic Spanish Mission architecture of the surrounding areas in Texas, balancing materials and detailing that call back to those inspirations with modern detailing, resulting in a unique venue. Warm natural materials are balanced with bright white walls and ample natural light. The Norman and Edmond Chapels are two variations on more traditional southern religious construction, again melding the old and new in ways that avoid these buildings feeling like pale imitations or facsimiles of their precedents.
